Yea I just had a plan for my life and now it's not working out the way I want and it's frustrating! All my drs keep saying oh you're young don't stress but I mean...it's been 3 years already, how many more is it going to take?!

Just big hugs all round.... I think if I knew how long it all would've taken, I would've started trying earlier

I agree! I thought starting at 22 was young but went for it anyway. Had I known it would of taken this long I would of started sooner for sure! This sucks big time! Definitely hugs all round

Hey star, I'm half way through my tww. Today is usually the day I start spotting but nothing yet... If af holds off blood test will be next Thursday.

    How are you?

Phee, fingers crossed for you! I hope you've been holding up ok during the 2ww, it must be hard to try & stay distracted.

Star, argh, random spotting is so annoying! I hope it either goes away for you or turns into af.

Del, I've only just gone back now & read all the previous posts, hugs! Please stick around, we all love chatting to you too! That's such a hard decision to make but I hope you're doing ok. I didn't recognise you at first with the change in the pic/avatar

Afm, I finally got af. It's so weird because I never ever get it on my own. Don't tell me ivf has kick started my body into doing what it was meant to be doing all this time! I'm happy to have it but also a bit upset because we obviously didn't get preg. This goes to show people who say 'just relax & it'll happen' are full of crap we had no idea I would've been ovulating & have had many drinks over my birthday & DTD when we wanted & was on leave so was very relaxed but it obviously didn't happen.

Sounds silly I know. I've been finding it a little hard lately. I have a close friend who was whinging that her first month of ttc didn't work. I'm trying so hard to be supportive for her but it's so hard when you're years up! I'm sure it'll happen for her soon though so I'm trying to be a sympathetic ear but at the same time also hurts a little.

Thanks Rocky! I've been pretty up and down to be honest. It's so hard because on one hand I want to stay positive and just act as though I'm already pregnant and that my symptoms are real and visualise the nurse telling me it's positive, but on the other hand I feel like I need to protect myself from disappointment and tell myself the symptoms are just due to the drugs, it's going to be negative like every other time, don't get your hopes up.

I think this has been the hardest tww yet.

That's great that you got af on your own! It's a step in the right direction at least! I know what you mean about the "relax it'll happen" people. Total rubbish!

That's a bit rude of your friend... Does she know you've been trying for a long time? People can be so insensitive and it's really hard to be sympathetic. We are always here for a chat when you're struggling!
