That's good Phee that I don't have the only DH that doesn't want to give me the injections

I've been really watching heaps of you tube ivf journeys & watching how they do the injections. I hope this helps when I'm due to start I really do enjoy watching 'real' journeys I guess, there's some really good ones done

Starflame.... another option is to investigate the "cheaper" IVF places. If you live in Sydney, I think IVFA is now running a cheaper version of their normal services out of a clinic in Liverpool, and I think there's a place in Westmead which also does that, where you don't have a dedicated FS, but just have whoever happens to be on call the day you're booked in - from what others have said, I think it's between $1500-$2000, instead of the usual $10,000 average costs. Worth looking into.

I'm with westmead fertility centre. We are assigned to a dedicated fertility specialist and yes it is cheaper. My stim cycle was about $1200 and a FET in the same calendar year is only about $270. Might be a possibility Starflame? xxxx

Are those prices all upfront, or what you pay after medicare rebate? I would prefer westmeade over liverpool as the former at least sedate you for EPU

That's after the rebate, but most people just put the initial large amount on a credit card and then put the rebate on the CC too so you're just left with the $1200 gap to pay. It saves having to find a large amount up front. :-)
I have been very happy with them there, I like my FS and all the other staff have been great. The nurses are awesome and the scientist even comes to talk to you after EPU.

They are actually quite similar prices to Liverpool. Bigger up front cost, but you can go non safety net and only need $1500 with 500 back from the fertility clinic. I would prefer to go upfront, as the 2nd cycle is way cheaper, and non safety net stays at 900. If we go IVF early next year it will be Westmeade over Liverpool. I need to be off with the fairies while they insert a needle through the wall of my vag into a hyper stimmed, sore ovary thanks!

Af showed up this morning late after 5 days of spotting. For someone who is apparently fine my cycle sure does some stupid things.
