We tried SMEP this month, you bd every 2nd day from CD8 and once getting a pos opk you bd 3 days in a row and skip a day and bd once more. I've heard many success stories from this technique and i'm hoping it has worked for us.

I read today its best to make sure the sperm is already in there waiting for the egg to be released, so bd every second day prior to o'ing is a good idea. Considering sperm lives up to 5 days i don't think you really need to bd every day to be successful. If the smep plan doesn't work for us this month we will most likely stick to bding every second day during my fertile period.

I hate how there is so much conflicting information out there. I am hoping that we have done the right thing! I also read that having sperm there waiting a a good thing as well so that is why we used preseed (meant to make more sperm survive for longer)and dtd every 24 hours. Fingers crossed it works!!
@curlybird fingers crossed that you get your bfp this month.

Hi to everyone else. I hope that you are all enjoying the TTC journey this month. x

So last known period was 13 may, af was due 11june, I've had period, like sharp period pains since the 1st June, still getting them. Asmorning I thought I was getting af, as we were going to be out all day I put my cup in, not sure if it was a wise idea, spur of the moment as we were leaving, anyway tonight in shower inside cup there was brownish mucus very stringy, there, not sure what it was don't recall ever seeing it before.
Did a test asmorning, bfn. If no af in a few days going to to test again as our son didn't show up until 5 weeks.

Does anyone know what it could be?

We have been Bding every 24 hours as I read somewhere that this is the latest info (less chance of defective swimmers) I just hope that we have caught the egg! Has anyone here BD every day and had a positive result. I feel like we have done the wrong thing
The month I fell pregnant with my son, DH and I dtd every day for 7 days thats what we're doing this month too! Fingers crossed!

AF was due today, but instead I've been spotting for 5 days straight. slight increase in quantity today but it's still brown. I'm expecting that AF will just start tomorrow. Temp was still up this morning, but I'm getting bfns and after boob pain disappearing, it has returned again. Hoping like hell this is IB, but it's probably not...

Thanks @Bellefire. His quality of life was minimal so it's not a bad thing. It's just the end of an era as my mum puts it.
