Thanks guys - things seemed to have setttled down over the weekend and the bleeding stopped a couple of hours after it started. I'll still go for my 'reassurance' scan tomorrow even though I feel like a bit of a pest always being at the OB's! But I need that piece of mind. 9 weeks today.

@boalovesludo congrats! Wow a few twins on here now!!
@Molros how are you going? One more sleep! I'm starting to get really nervous now, I hope everything is ok and my fingers are crossed for you too!

Just a question about the nt scan ladies, they told me to drink a litre of water beforehand which is a ridiculous amount! Anyone else have to drink water and how much! If I drink 1 litre I will burst!!

@BaoLovesLudo wow congrats!!! How exciting! @emski72 glad the bleeding stopped and don't feel like a pest...we are paying them enough haha and Im sure they understand why you'd need the reassurance @Willowglen I know! Im so excited at the moment, just try and tell yourself it'll be fine but I do understand completely, I go from being scared to excited! I've been told to drink half a litre half an hour beforehand, last time I drank more and had to go release some but it was still very full and I was scared some would just come out when they were pushing down...maybe ring and check? What time is yours? Mine's at 11:45 and Im going to Park Ultrasound. Did you get your 10 wk bloods done?

Em never feel like a pest. Sometimes I think we need to be proactive so things don't get missed. You're doing the right thing.

    Littleoneplusone good luck for wed!!

Molros and willowglen good luck for your 12 week scans. Gees time goes fast you're already at 12 weeks!

Hi bayside90 and megsarama26, do you have any tips you could share regarding anything I should be aware of in the next few weeks with twins? I'm worried about not having private health, so I'm in the process of looking for a private ob who delivers in public. Hope you're both starting to feel a little better.

@Willowglen I was told 2 glasses of water one hr prior to scan, one litre sounds like a lot!!

Good luck with everyone's scans this week!

@BaoLovesLudo, congrats and welcome to the club!!! How are you feeling? I think ive only really come to terms with twins in the last week! Lol.
I have no advice, I spend my time in bed feeling sick, at work feeling sick or sleeping. Im just trying to get past the yukkness. My mantra "everything is temporary, this will pass and this will be worth it".
I have insurance, and I was booked at a private hospital in melbourne (cabribi). And then I realised delvering twins, privately (potentially prem-as they often are) would set me back around 10k with insurance (being a midwife I have some inside scoop). So I changed and im now booked as a private patient at my workplace which is public. My ob is costing me $1500 (but thats a staff discount) and everything else will be free, even if the kids need nicu. Do whats right for you. :-)
    Twinnies! !!!!

@BaoLovesLudo Congratulations!! The twin club is growing! It does take a while to get your head around twins. We took nothing for granted early on as one of our Bubs had a funny shaped sac which can be a bit ominous. But by ten week scan we were feeling more confident and I think that's when it rally sunk in for us.

They say morning sickness is horrible with twins (as megs and I can both attest to!) but mine is starting to pass and my nearly is growing.

Make sure you have maternity pants organised by about ten weeks cause one day you will just wake up and nothing will fit! Those elastic waisted pants are fabulously comfy!!

No more advice really... Just enjoy it and revel in how lucky you are that you get an instant family and depending on how many kids you want, you never have to be pregnant ever again! (This will be my one any only experience of pregnancy!!)
