Put an old icecream container in the toilet bowl, get yourself a pair of gloves..... And wait.
Sorry, I'm a nurse with 10yr gastroenterology experience..... Sifting through poo is something I've done a million times before.

    Oh no, what a shame!

There's no way I'd be looking through poo LOL.
Maybe the tooth fairy could leave the money with a letter saying she did a fairy xray of his tummy last night and she saw the tooth was there as proof that he lost it, so she left the money for him anyway without actually needing the tooth?

I gave my DS the option of checking through his poo and he was horrified ... lol. So I suggested he write a note to the tooth fairy which he thought was a great idea.

Cheeky bugger dug the note out when he swallowed another tooth months later

DS did it and he wrote a letter to the tooth fairy explaining what had happened. Given how much he loathes writing we paid out on the note because he'd written it three times to make it legible!

He also lost one at school so did another letter only to find the tooth outside his classroom the next day. Cheeky bugger tried to claim it twice!

Tell him the tooth fairy saw him smile when he was dreaming and noticed the gap.

    Default How long?

If he does want to search his poo, how long could/should it take to pass through? I was told it could be 4/5 days for a foreign "non-food" object...

not sure I want him sifting that long, if at all!

We have written two letters to the tooth fairy. One DD ate, the other one just vanished!
