    Default Unsure of conception

ok... i believe i concieved on 19th March, so pregnancy would have started 6th March 2014. the day before my period was due, a pregnancy test was negative, and then my period did come.

When it came time to ovulate (which is like clockwork for me) i didn't ovulate...

now, if i did concieve on 19th March, i am 7 weeks tomorrow, and about a week ago, i started morning sickness daily. with my last pregnancy, morning sickness started at 6 weeks also.

because of my period i am unsure of this conception date, but my lack of ovulation makes me think i am.

i just googled and found a site that said sometimes you can get a normal period after conception while pregnant because of lower hormone levels, and usually a good indication that you are pregnant is no ovulation the next month.

so does anyone out there have a similar experience? or does someone have some answers? i am due for my period in a week so i guess that will be the deciding factor.

thanks for your help guys :-)

My recommendation is to go for a scan, the longer you leave it in pregnancy the less accurate it is, if you think you could be around 7w I would go soon.

    Good luck

what sort of scan do you mean? ultrasound? wouldnt they get better with time? my husband wont let me get a preg test again because they are too expensive. were waiting until i skip a period to go to the doc to confirm it all.

Yes an ultrasound, you do see more further into pregnancy but fetal growth differs more the longer you leave it, until around 7-8 weeks fetal crown-rump length is pretty standard. Crown-rump length is what they use to determine how far along you are, it's the measurement from the top of babies head to babies bottom basically.

You can purchase pregnancy tests from chemists for around $5, this far into a suspected pregnancy it would be accurate. Alternatively you could visit a bulk billing GP and ask for a blood test and a referral to a bulk billing scan location. Up to you though

    Default :-(

Nope not pregnant... :-( I guess the reflux has just gotten worse and maybe my ovulation just didn't hurt this month for some reason? We will just keep trying and I will wait till I KNOW before I even do a test. Thanks :-)
