Default Infasecure Comfy Cruiser or Infasecure Comfi Caprice?

Hi all, I'm confused about which car seat to buy for my 3.5 year old.

I want one that converts to a booster to 8 years old but with a harness for now.

I was about to buy the Comfy Cruiser (infa-Secure) CS 7110 (as it was so highly rated on the CREPS ratings website) however then saw the Infa Secure Comfi Caprice Toddler to Booster Seat CS7210CP.

Does anyone know if the Infa Secure Comfi Cruiser is being discontinued and replaced by the Infa Secure Comfi Caprice Toddler to Booster Seat???

I can't seem to find any CREPS ratings for the Infa Secure Comfi Caprice Toddler to Booster Seat CS7210CP??? I really want a car seat/booster that has high CREP ratings.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

    BB.

The comfi caprice hasn't been CREP tested yet. It is essentially the same as the comfi cruiser except it has different fabric and removable padding. It also has a slightly different shape to the base that gives it better antisubmarine properties in booster mode. The turn to booster markers are now set at 45cm for both seats but you will find that there is still a lot of old stock floating round. The benefit of the caprice (and the grange) is that you can get a new height marker covr for free but you need to buy one for the cruiser/7110 models. They are about $40.

Seats up till about 2011 went on weight. They now go on height and have little labels stitched on them for shoulder height of the kids. It's just the normal cover they come with now. Depending on what seat your son has now it may be weight based - my son is almost 4 and his first seat was weight based.

Not a problem. When it arrives if the three height markers are evenly spaced call infa secure and get a new cover for free. The middle marker should be closer to the top marker and line up with the second slot. Infa are awesome to deal with.
