    Default 3yo chewing shirt?

My DS turned 3 exactly a week ago. For the past fortnight or so he has been chewing on the neck of his shirt. It doesn't matter what he is wearing (tshirt, jumper, pjs - anything) he chews it. It's not situation specific either... He does it at home when he is playing happily, when he's upset or mad, alone or with someone. He also does it at daycare. It's so bad his shirt ends up sopping wet.

He is a happy kid, very friendly and hasn't had any issues engaging or anything so I can't imagine it's an anxiety thing but I just don't know. I ask him to stop and he does but then he starts again straight away. I ask him why he does it and he just doesn't answer me.

    Anyone have any ideas?

It's a habbit both my boys went through. I just had to keep reminding them not to do it...they eventually stopped.

My son went through that when he turned 3. I would say stop and a minute later he would start again.
In the end ever time i caught him doing it I made him take his top off. He quickly clued on that taking your top on and off is really annoying.
