    Default FTB supplements

I'm wondering if someone can shed some light for me with regards to supplements at EOFY. I am on part PPS & FTB but I will be moving in with my partner just prior to the end of the financial year and will be advising Centrelink of this change.. I'm just wondering whether this will affect supplements once we lodge our tax returns. In previous years I have received it, but DP & I will cease being eligible for any parenting or FTB payments once we become defacto (shared finances etc). Will I also cease being eligible for the supplements? We will be moving in together 4 weeks prior to the new tax year, will I not receive it at all or will it be a lesser payment, pro-rated or similiar?

I am just trying to sort finances in the coming months so any advice is appreciated!

I would presume they will pay you the supplement for the months you were single, and just not apply it for the final weeks in the financial year where you are partnered and don't qualify for the payments. I would recommend calling and asking just to be sure though. I've had a few nasty shocks with centrelink payments since becoming partnered!

I became unpartnered before the end of financial yr 2 yrs ago, and I had to wait for ex to lodge a take return and if he didnt then they do a reconciliation at Nov, and that was when I got the supps.

Its reversed for you but I am sure you will have to wait until tax lodgements are done before you get yours if you become partnered before end of financial yr.
