Default 7 week old - 24 hours no poop!

He had his immunization 2 days ago but for the last 24 hours he's only had wet nappies. Not even a smudge of poo. He had panadol for the first time the night of his needles too as he was quite hot..

    He's Breastfed and very happy.

How long do I wait and if he doesn't go, what can I do about it?

Is this a dr thing or a home remedy thing?

Each bub is different. By first would poo at every feed but my 2nd could go up to 5 days between poos in the early days. Both breastfed, happy growing bubs. Just different. If bub isn't in pain then all good

I'd say that's fine as long as he isn't in pain as someone else said.

Just keep feeding when I worked at children's emergency we used to have a pamphlet saying it can be normal for bub to go up to 10 days without pooing if they are breastfed. You can have a feel around on their belly for any hard masses. I don't want you to worry about this at all but make sure he is still farting as the oral vaccine you get at 6 weeks can cause a very SMALL percentage of babies to get what is called twisted bowels. If they fart still then they are fine

I had twisted bowels as a baby and as well as not pooing, I couldn't keep milk down. I screamed constantly so it was pretty obvious something was wrong.

My boys both went from daily pooing to weekly at about 6 weeks old. It's very normal for bf babies because the milk is so digestible and they use every bit of it. Like pp said as long as he is happy, still feeding and weeing I wouldn't panic.

Totally agree, I imagine he would be a very unhappy little man

He's definitely farting. Really stinky after his vacs too, couldn't really believe something so gross could come out of my beautiful boy!!

I guess we'll just wait for the poosplotion...
