    White wine can last in the fridge for 5-7 days before going off.

    Make a risotto. Or poach some pears.

    Chicken & mushrooms in white is yummy! Lightly flour the chicken, throw in some mushies and add white wine.

    How long would a cask last?

    Might be better off buying a cask next time if you can leave it in the fridge for a while....

    If you have one if those things which pumps the air out then it will last longer.
    Otherwise the wine oxidises after contact with air.
    I'm working on the info we had when I worked in a pub many moons ago. We would not sell wine from a white wine bottle which had been opened that long.


    Cask wine lasts forever. I buy a better quality cask wine and just keep it in the cupboard for cooking.
