    Or a really nice knife. Think a folding pocket knife, bone handle, good steel blade, real heirloom quality. Possibly engraved.

    The idea being that he can give it to DS or DD as soon as he or she is old enough. Handed down through the generations.

    I immediately thought you meant he could use the knife to cut the cord! Hahaha.

    Well, you could ... but I hate to think of the midwife / obstetrician's reaction to using an non-sterile pocket knife in the theatre.

    Hehehe funny thing is he would do that too he's a born and raised stockman who does security for a living so he usually carries at least 2 knives/ multitools on him
