    Default New father gift

I'm 31wks with #3 but this is dad's 1st. I was thinking of putting a small gift together and putting it in the top of my hospital bag and just after bub is born I was going to ask him to grab something from the bag.

Only problem is I'm stuck on what to get. Price isn't an issue but I'd really appreciate some ideas

I'd be thinking along the lines of jewellery, something he can treasure forever. Make it personal and have it be a reminder of it's significance in regards to him becoming a father; maybe have a piece engraved with a special word, or simply the word "dad".
If he isn't a jewellery man, maybe a watch instead, which you can also engrave.

Penfolds Grange or equally nice cellar able wine. To be kept and opened with bub on their 18th?

Dog tags are popular, but normally they have the date hand embossed which will be difficult without the birth date!

There was a website I saw today with some more 'manly' jewellery that's personalised. Alternatively if you've picked a name, my friend hot her DP some engraved cuff links.

Love the jewellery idea 😉 can't really do the wine idea as he doesn't drink however im leaning towards the jewellery. What else could I do? Thinking of an assortment of little gifts to go with the jewellery

A 'dad' picture frame that he can put a picture in.

Doesn't drink? Well there goes ninety percent of my suggestions :-) (Busy sipping a very nice Douglas Laing vatted malt right now, Big Peat, but I digress...)

If money isn't an issue, how about a camera? There will be lots of photos to take with a new baby on the way, and a nice camera will cover all the bases - gadgetry, new toy, bonding for the whole family, new skills to learn and show off,...
