    They are pretty cheap, about $10-$15 for a good starter kit. In Big W, ToysRUs, Lincraft, Target etc

    I got mine from Lincraft for $9.99, dh got one for dd on the same day from neds for $8

    Spotlight have $25 ones.
    Some of the cheaper ones have all 3 rows lined up not offset which means you cant make some patterns

    yep

    make sure you get one that has the 3 lines in a triangle (so the middle row is offset from the outside rows) ... and dont get one that folds flat like lattice stuff ... they make it hard to do stuff on.

    Otherwise - they are pretty cheap. Kmart has kits now too - or Gloss

    We just brought a $2 pack (300 band and a hook) from a cheap shop.
    She loves them so I am going to pick a loom set tomorrow.
