    45% to rent, single parent in a university town. I made the mistake of needing to move when the students were incoming so after weeks I took the best I could get paying more than I can realistically afford. you do what you have to.

    Approx 32% too much for my liking (both have to work close to full time to pay the mortgage).

    Mortgage; over 50% when I wasn't working, now it's about 40% (?)

    I'm not really sure how to work it out to be honest; $700 a week & we earn $1730 a week... so what's that?

    I'm feeling a little upset that we seem to have such a high percentage, compared to others 😞

    Thank you everyone, I'm quite surprised at how many pay 40% or more. Sydney, Perth...
