We paid loads of money for a swing (don't remember which one!) and it was great on a few occasions. We hardly used it though and I wish we hadn't bothers tbh!

We bought the cheap Bright Starts swing for DS2. $60 from Kmart I think. DS1 had been perfectly happy in his bouncer but DS2 screamed non stop for the first few weeks of his life. I bought the swing and it was a godsend during DS1's dinner, bath and bed routine. It's still going strong and DS2 is eight months old, haven't had to change the batteries yet either.

Funny story: we call it the poo swing because when all else would fail we'd pop DS2 in the swing and five minutes later he'd fill his nappy.
