    Unhappy Acceptable or not?

Today a stranger (friend of a friend at a gathering) was holding my almost 7 week old. DS started crying and looking for food. Before I knew it she had sucked on her finger and slipped it into his mouth for him to suck on. Surely this is NOT ok? I felt very uneasy. I did not say anything for two reasons A) in my opinion the damage was done. B) I felt uncomfortable saying something. Am I being over cautious? I am now really worried, I don't know this person or anything about any health issues she could possibly have.

If in your situation I probably would of been really uncomfortable saying something too but would of not been impressed at all with her sticking her finger in my child's mouth let alone sucking on her finger first eww!

No advice but I would have lost my **** if anyone did that to my 7 week old, totally unacceptable. I feel angry for you.

That's not OK with me. I'm sure she meant no harm and was just trying to soothe your baby, but no. Hell no. Do not lick your finger and then stick it in my child's mouth!
I can't believe anyone would think this was acceptable...I wouldn't even do it with my own nephew and this lady was a stranger!

Yeah, that's not cool. I wouldn't say anything but I wouldn't be offering her another hold any time soon!
