I had bloods done for HcG a while ago (I was freaked, as despite ttc, I was late with a neg pg test and very worried about another ectopic). I rang the clinic to be told they couldn't give results and the dr wanted to see me. I was pretty much having anxiety attacks.

When I went to the appointment the dr said the bloods were neg she said she liked to have follow up appointments for all pathology.

In short, it's about making more money from you with another consultation imo. With both my son and daughter, they gave me results over the phone. They didn't and couldn't give levels, but said yes you are pg.

In my clinic I had to make an appt, there was a strict policy for no results over the phone. I guess as they figured perhaps if the patient needed some further information, it was best to do that in person.

My clinic the receptionists can now give results over the phone the doctors write the comments for them to say. When I had a question they put me through to the nurse. That's a bit mean making you wait

I hope you're feeling better today. It can all be quite confusing when it comes to babies and all the emotions that come along with them.
