I spent $70 as well for 3 kids and they only got 2 big eggs each and a soft bunny. Rip off

Gutted!! I had the same experience with DH this evening which forced me into raiding the eggs I'd bought the kids.

Bless your DH's heart for being in the right place though....

ahhh thank you Rita, I was feeling like maybe I had spent an excessive amount. It's crazy isn't it? 2 X 100g lindt bunnies - 10 bucks. You can buy 200g lindt blocks for $4.

Cost wise - buy a plastic easter egg mould and then use the blocks of chocolate melted to 'paint' the mould and refrigerate after each layer. Once it's thick enough just pop each half out of the moulds and use more melted choc to stick them together. I remember doing it at primary school and it was so much fun!! Plus it would be cheaper cause you're just buying the blocks and the mould.

Sadly evil Cadbury decided not to make them this year so I'm boycotting Easter, no eggs for me, that'll show em!
A family block of Top Deck might fall in my trolley tho...

We celebrate Easter at Easter, but have the hunt a day or two later with half price eggs. I'm a quality over quanitity chocolate bunny ears fan but haven't had one in many years. Used to get so many eggs when teaching that I had to share them amongst friends but haven't got one since...hang on, maybe we did - off mum for a couple of years - she would save them from Easter time and give them to us 6 months later when she saw us!
