    Default Kids shops with stairs!

    This is a vent! Why oh why do kids shops exist that have a bunch of stairs and no ramp access when the majority of their clientele are parents with prams???

    I recently encountered quite a large chain shop (that should know better) that had a really large flight of stairs at the front and no ramp access. Then today I drove half an hour to a boutique kids store only to find that when I got there it was on multiple levels all accessible only by stairs. I turned around and drove the half an hour back home - empty handed. My bub is with me all the time so if there is no pram access I can't shop.

    I just don't get it.

    Or when they have the aisles so narrow you can't push a pram around the shop without knocking things off the shelves.

    OP did you ask the stores if they have a lift? It might be hidden away.

    No, no lift. The big store had a doorbell and a small sign asking you to ring it for a sales assistant to come and help you lift your pram up the flight of stairs. Not the most convenient solution really considering there were only two sales people - it just boggles my mind.

    And the boutique store was quite small - but with steps to enter the store as well as internal steps up to the level where most of the stock was.

    Erghhh sounds like my town every shop front has one or two steps really narrow and inconvenient for a pram. I just baby wear now
