Just because I think it would be brave and enlightened I guess! We don't have a girl, so it's just a hypothetical but working in hospitality when I was younger gave me a bit of an aversion to the men's loos to be honest, obviously not all men's loos are gross and some women's rooms are too, but as a pp said it taught her not to touch the soles of men's shoes, very good lesson lol

Quite frankly I couldn't care less which toilet (men's / ladies) your husbands/partners took your daughter's into. We have three daughter's, my husband takes them into the men's cubicles if need be. If parents rooms are available use he uses that.

As a mother of a disabled daughter I find people in this thread's perceived entitlement to use the disabled toilet appalling. Sure if the toilet doubles as a disabled / parents room go right ahead. If not, then don't use it!!!

Bahahaha! This cracked me up! I'm still laughing!!!

What an interesting conversation. DD Is still in nappies so I've never thought about it nor talked to DH about it. I see both sides.

I think I'd just be happy for DH to do what he feels comfortable with. I'll ask him tonight when he gets home from work

I just asked hubby what he would do if we had a daughter. The response:
    "Fu@ked if I know.."

The disabled toilet might be used once in a blue moon. If things are quiet I don't see a problem with taking a kid in there for a quick squirt. If there are no parents rooms around it is the only toilet that will fit a pram in it...

I would never use a disabled toilet for my child if another child with a disability was waiting. But usually they are empty 99% of the time. In the case of a father with a young daughter using a disabled loo where it's empty and no one is waiting, I don't see the issue?
