How about we all grow up and just have unisex toilets. No urinals, just stalls.

Yes, and in my past I have had a male who disrespected my personal space, only I was 6 yrs old!
So forgive me if I wouldn't be willing to send a small girl into the mens toilet, even accompanied by her father.
For me, it's no place for little girls.
    My opinion.

    That's lovely for you Busy-Bee.
That's your choices based on your opinions.
    I'm merely stating mine.

I take both my boys in to the ladies toilets because I'M the one using them.
When they were young they were with me all the time, and that's what they were used to.
When my DS1 went into a mens cubicle for the first time he stared at his uncle peeing.
His uncle saw the funny side of it and DS1 wanted to pee standing up ever since but you can't expect a little girl to go in there and not be just as curious.
Oh just look straight ahead and don't talk to anyone?
I can't get my boys to do that now even though they're used to the female toilets.

Anyway, that's neither here nor there I suppose.
I just don't think it's a place for little girls.
Compared to womens toilets, it's the mens toilets where the majority of sexual attacks on young boys occur, and whilst I know she'd be going in with her father, there's still that icky uncertainty about who might be lurking about in there.
    For me.
I'm only speaking for myself here.
I'm not laying down any lavatory laws

I think as far as public toilets go, this is the sensible thing to do.

Maybe my view Is a bit tainted because they only unisex toilets I've been to are in fortitude valley but they would scare me! But I could change my opinion because I'm off to read from page 1. Need to catch up on th whole 224 posts about toilets....

Its one thing to have an opinion but to be openly mocking of others is pretty nasty, especially when u have no idea why some people feel the way they do.

Yes! Absolutely this, honestly I've never understood why they need to be separated. I share a bathroom with guys at home, I wouldn't have an issue doing the same while I was out!

With the exception of where alcohol is served maybe?
If I was a young girl out on the town I wouldn't like to be followed into a toilet by some guy I was trying to avoid on the dance floor.
Horrible to have to think that way but it's the way of the world these days.
