    Default What's for breakfast?

What do you and the family usually eat for breakky each morning?

dd 3, ds 1, demand breakfast as soon as they wake. I don't dare make them wait a moment longer or they wake the whole damn street up screaming and carrying on. I can't handle much in the mornings. So it's a bowl of cereal each. Rotating between weet-bix, oats, nutri grain and corn flakes. I usually sove down a piece of toast while they are quiet and eating.
Even on weekends, I've attempted some scrambled eggs and a family breakky at the table. The kids rejected it and wanted their usual.

Just after some quick breakky ideas? Trying to mix it up but kids don't want a bar of it?

Can you soak rolled oats in milk/water overnight then cook in the morning? I find they only take a couple of minutes to cook if I pre-soak. Mr almost 4 stirs them on the stove while Mr 18months gets the bowls ready.

Nah I have quick oats and my kids eat them with milk and warmed up for 30secs. No issues with cereal. Except that's all they will eat.

Sorry I didn't read your post very well. Completely missed that you were already doing oats.

*eggs (we have chooks so loads of eggs to use) any way but soft boiled with soldiers or fried are their faves.

*cereal - oats, rice bubbles, special K, muesli, mini-wheats, wheaties, weet-bix, All-bran (DS2 is OBSESSED with cereal and likes to mix it up)

*Fruit salad and yoghurt (I cut up the fruit the night before)

    *Crepes, piklets and pancakes.

*DS1 and DH are pretty partial to tinned spaghetti on toast.

    Muffin Monday
    Toast Tuesday
    Weetbix Wednesday
    Toast Thursday
    Fruit bread Friday
    Scrambled egg Saturday
    Surprise Sunday

All served with either fruit or yoghurt

Muffins are usually savoury (zucchini at the moment) and toast has different toppings (creamed corn is the latest favourite!)

This is for my 9mo DD
