    Thanks girls. I have 1 FRER, 2 digi's and about 20 IC's in the cupboard calling me

    MamaL - we are looking at maybe doing IVF at Liverpool which is low cost and the initial consult is $150.

    @bel2466 - 6 weeks!! So close and so far at the same time!

    I'm good! Back into trying OI with a new FS, so renewed vigour to boot! Last of the tablets today and tomorrow and then BT to determine if they're working on Thursday morning! Fx!! Hoping against hope that this second attempt at doing a round of OI will get me my BFP, otherwise it'll be IVF for me!

    Why do you have to wait so long for the FET?

    Had my last tube out (damaged) and you can only do a FET cycle starting the second AF after the op. I'm due for the first AF post op in the next few days and my cycles are about 5-6 weeks long :-(
    Hope the new plan and new FS brings you better results xx

    Great, thanks @delirium, that would have been a great alternative. But I'm working in the city so I figure it would be easier to go there. maybe I should check one of the other FS that works for genea or if I can get a new referral for another clinic in the city. Ah, just want to get on with it!

    @MamaL - we're with Genea. Our initial consultation with the FS was about $400 (we got about $100 back from Medicare), but the 2nd appointment with him was only $165 (I'm not sure how much we'll get back yet). Both appointments only involved talking. I think the higher price of the initial appointment is to deter tyre kickers and to allow time for the doctor to get up to speed with patient details. I've been quite happy with our FS so far. We haven't started any treatment yet, just trying to come to terms with the options (we're unexplained infertility, so it's hard to decide to start IVF).

    @bel2466 - now I remember! You have an amazing spirit for what you've been through!! I know I've said it before, but it's true! I hope this FET works and the time flies and AF comes sooner for your next cycle!!

    @Funchu - has your FS only suggested IVF, or would OI/IUI be an option?

    Edit for typo. "Works", not "waits"

    I ovulate on my own & DH's swimmers are good, so he doesn't reckon any other methods would give us any advantage over trying naturally. There's a good chance IVF will work as my IU showed ~40 follicles. I'm just annoyed about having to go through risky medical procedures & paying so much money when all of the tests indicate that there shouldn't be any need to do so. Grrrrr. I'm feeling sad & angry.

    @Funchu - yes, that's definitely frustrating.
