It's just a drug that brings on ovulation (like Clomid, but less harsh on your system).

If OI doesn't work for us after these next few cycles, then we'll be heading down the IVF path as well. Asked my FS if it would be worth doing IUI and he said in my case it wouldn't help.

    How is everyone travelling?

I'm now CD7 and will be taking round 4 of tablets tonight. Not going to use OPKs or HPTs this month and just go by BT results. Feels quite liberating to not be PIAC each morning!! Going to try and BD every two days from tonight now that AF seems to be completely gone (yay! No more spotting!). If this OI cycle is a bust, I will then use OPKs for the next two OI cycles to help me pinpoint O.

Apart from being gassy (TMI), I'm doing well. A couple of sharp side pains, but that's it. Too early for O, so no idea what it's from - maybe follies forming? Hope it's first time lucky! (technically it will be fourth time lucky!)

Oh that sounds promising, @Shrillian .
I'm hoping you catch that eggy this month.

Afm; tonnes of ewcm 7th day of stim.
Not sure what to expect lol.
Had a blood test this morning so, just waiting to hear the results from that. Hoping everything is going to plan.

Good luck Shrillian and Jen, I hope this is your month!

I'm using OPKs for the first time and have no idea what is going on with them. I was getting faint lines (even when I tested at the start of my cycle out of curiosity) and now that I'm close to approaching O the lines have completely disappeared. Have also started charting my temperature as well and it is literally all over the place whith jumps of about .2 to .3 up and down every day for the last few days. Now I'm beginning to wonder if it's possible that I don't even O at all...

    Thanks, @jenjenOo!

Excuse my ignorance, but are the stims in preparation for EPU? How long does this part go for?

I usually get really faint lines throughout my cycle. My new FS reckons I have PCOS (without having PCO) and that could be why I pick up LH in my urine all the time. Maybe the lines disappearing is a sign of your body gearing up for the real surge? Fx!

I don't temp, so have no idea about that. Sorry!!

I was the same when I tried to use them, it was all over the place - I used them for the first 20 days - faint lines, then no lines, then a little darker lines, the n none, then faint - arrrgg I had no idea what I was doing lol. And then, I stopped using them, and I think I actually O'd around day 30! Still waiting for AF on day 41 but no BFP so I guess my hormones probably haven't regulated after coming off BCP yet.

My acupuncturist/chines herb practitioner wasn't happy with my cake being so long, so once AF comes we're going to try and regulate it again! At least for now I've stopped getting so stressed and have taken a much more 'wait and see' approach. If things still don't seem right by my Birthday at the end of July I'll get some testing done to see if all is infact working as it should be

And fx for you Shrillian and Jen!

Good to hear I'm not the only one that has had issues with OPKs, I was wondering if they were maybe dodgy - I bought the cheap ones on the internet.

The hypochondriac in me is telling me to go get checked for PCOS now

Mine were internet cheapies too - I was thinking about buying some other ones, but they were also kind of making me a paranoid, over analysing maniac, so I'll have to weigh it up

Do you have other symptoms of PCOS?

I did acupuncture and registered FIVE surges on OPKs last month!! Only O'd on the last one. I've been using cheapies as well (from pregnancy shop) and found they were quite good, to be honest. Detected surges and never had any fakies that wasn't my own body playing tricks on me.

If it's not hitting positive a few times, you should be fine (as in, not having false surges). Some people just get lines throughout their cycle and they have textbook cycles! Don't be freaked out!

Some PCOS symptoms include excess weight around the mid section, excess hair growth, acne... My FS said usually if you tick off two or more, it's a good indication.

However, I technically don't have it (without doing the full on US scans) as my bloods showed I was in "normal" ranges, which is why I was always diagnosed as "Unexplained Infertility". FS wants me to do a full proper US with a proper imaging place as, evidently, their "general" US machines can't detect with such precision. Don't have to do a HyCoSy, thankfully. As yet, anyway.
