@Shrillian just caught up with all the posts...did AF come yet??? ;-)
@HillDweller I know how you feel...we tried for 5 months with DD1, but it felt like 5 years...I became depressed and obsessive about TTC and just thought it would never happen! So we decided to put TTC on the backburner and signed a contract to build a house instead...sure enough, 2 weeks later...BFP!! Thank you Mr Universe lol. Fell preg easily with DS1, but now TTC#3 tried for 3 months last year, nothing. Started to become obsessive again so had some time off from TTC til now. Have booked a cruise for end of July in hope that Mr Universe plays his part again ;-)

    Hi!

Haha! I'm so glad someone else tries to outsmart Mr Universe too Its going to work for both of us, I'm sure of it! I've picked out a few luxury resorts to book already, and I'm going to get DH to decide which one when he gets home in a few days! (He's already on board with the idea 'cause he knows there's no stopping me when I've got a plan to go up against the Universe )

Welcome! Good luck with your journey!

Nope. Haven't been expecting her either (I'm highly irregular). Though that said, coming home from the movies just now, I felt what may have been an AF cramp. Let's see!

Verdict is in - back to OI!

Got a blood test now to determine where I'm at right now and then will need to take provera to prompt a period and then back to good old letrozole!

2-3 months of OI and then look at injections or IVF. I'll be leaning more towards IVF over the injections, as for the effort involved I may as well go the whole hog.

Happy to be back on the OI path. New FS was happy that I managed to get a BFP once during a cycle, as it means I have at least one open tube and my body can make an embryo. Which I completely agree with! Will also need to get a more detailed ultrasound to check that everything is looking/working fine down there.

Really happy with the new FS. Also, I actually WANT to listen to his suggestions without my brain yelling "you arrogant man!" at him.

(Copied from a post in another thread, but couldn't work out what else I could say, so sorry for the copy and paste. )

I'm so glad you like this FS.
I can completely relate to seeing health professionals that I just can't trust or, I think I know more than! 😆

Sounds like you're making positive progress!

Very true! I feel more positive already!

I felt like he was actually listening to me when I spoke. He wasn't dismissive of things I said, instead explaining why certain things may or may not be happening to me.

He also talked in really positive terms as well, which was nice. He referred me to a dietician after listening to the way I spoke about myself and even said "she is busy, so you may not be able to see her for a while, but even if when you do get in and you're 6 weeks pregnant, she can help you with a healthy lifestyle for that".

A simple thing like talking in terms of me being pregnant as opposed to the cut throat way my previous one did (a real "who knows if it will happen" style of guy).

That is good to hear @Shrillian, it makes a huge difference!

A question to all if you who goes to an fs, do you always need a referral to make an appointment? I got a referral from my GP a couple of month back when I did my bloods. I never made the appointment, as we thought we wanted to give it a go for a bit longer before taking the next step. But now I can't find the referral.
