    Default Christening outfits

    Hi all

    What do kids wear for their christening outfits? I know traditionally it's that long dress/robe thing but I don't have one plus DS1 is almost 3.

    Can I just dress them in cute matching outfits / suits?

    Generally they wear an all white outfit - they usually sell nice christening outfits at Best & Less.

    DD was 2 at hers & wore a cream linen dress with a black sash which had flowers on it.
    Matching outfits would look lovely.

    Matching outfits are ok but you could even go for same colours but not matchy matchy if you wanted to.

    Check with the parish / priest. Ours didn't have to wear white, just needed a white shawl or blanket that gets blessed then placed over the child as part of the ceremony (catholic).
    DS wore a blue/ grey suit, pants with a waistcoat and white shirt. He looked so cute he was 3 months old and the little waistcoat is the cutest keepsake
    Much easier than finding an all white outfit for a boy that's not some weird puffy thing.
