    Default Baby monitors

Does anyone know where I can read reviews & comparisons of different baby monitors?

Tere are so many types & models that I literally dont even know where to start. We looked in the baby shop today & I left completely overwhelmed.

Everyone I ask for recommendations says a different one.

Choice did a review & comparison of heaps of different ones but stupidly its a 'members only' review. So to read it id either have to sign up & pay membership or pay a 'one off' fee of $20 just to read that one review. Rip off!!!! I have no desire to be a member of choice either.

The only reason Choice is able to undertake reviews is because it raises money from subscriptions. How else is it supposed to purchase the items being tested, pay salaries for staff, etc? It's an independent body, not a charity.

If you don't want to join Choice, many libraries have a Choice membership and library members can access Choice reviews that way.

Right ok sorry I have a problem with paying $20 to read a review....I respect that they have to raise money but thats still pretty steep! Ive read plenty of stuff on choice before with no issues so I had no idea you normally have to pay.

Ill just try & figure out what to buy some other way...

If you don't mind just reading reviews from just every day people there is a website called product review. I go on it if I'm looking for reviews on all baby things I buy

I looked up a few monitors on product review and thank goodness because the one I was initially going to buy had a lot of bad reviews and seemed to be continually faulty for a lot of people so I decided to go with another one and am happy with it!
