Spider like Ngaiz my obstetrician said he would want his wife to have a csection, if they were in our position.

Hope you're ok Ann! Good luck!

Nirok, I'm sure it'll happen soon enough for you! I was 2cm at my S&S and went into labour the next day. Hope yours is just as successful.

    Thanks ladies
my OBs would want his wife to have a c section and she actually came in to speak with me as she was my IVF specialist and she was married before and had c sections but also had a IVF baby with my OBs her now husband and does not regret going c section at the beginning she said most doctors go c section to minimize the issues later in life like prolapsed uterus, cervix and bowels and also to reduce risks to baby. But she said if you want natural and it will bother you that you will miss out go with natural. I don't think I will this is my thinking point will I or won't i but I never had a certain preference as long as I had a happy healthy baby.

My obs said he does not let people go over their due date as the still birth risk increase and would induce at 39 weeks either way and I don't want to be induced and then go into a c section cause like hwaterhouse it can be a very drawn out experience this also happened with my cousin who is bigger than I but she freaked at the epidural then the baby heart went down because the baby did a poo in uterine.

My obs also said women think that having a baby is all about the birth but i look at it as having a baby is after going through everything you or IVF people go through the actually having a baby is actually going home with one and having that baby for years and yeas to come. Not having a baby with issues or still birth

Thanks for the support ladies. We were told breech was the reason for our hip problem. But they do get babies that are not breech that have hip problems, or it can also run in families. Not all breech babies have the problem.

Spidery- I think your OB has made some good points about going a csection. I have always said whatever is the safest for the baby first, then me. Last pregnancy I was all for going naturally but after the loss and birthing him naturally with all the pain and heartache I think I have now got a negative connotation with natural labour so when my OB told me I needed a csection I didn't hesitate.
Whatever you choose to do I'm sure it will be an informed decision.

Ann- looking forward to hearing about your news.

Nirok- I hope you the s&s worked and you are in labour!

Spidery it sounds like you are in a good place to make a decision. I wanted natural but don't care now that Ellie is out safely. And by the time the c-section was offered I was relieved to go that route. When I can finally drive it will be a distant memory. Good on you for considering it all so thoughtfully.
