You'll ace it Amps no doubt.

It'll probably be easier as you won't tippy toe around during night or worry about waking others if unsettled! Plus you can now relax and get some shut eye whenever you can not feeling like you have to chat to someone.

Hey Amps hope your first night without DH went fine, its good that you have your mum there. DH will miss bubs !

Jay you going in soon, couple weeks? Are you almost ready ? You have started your epi no training? It's good that you have been mentally preparing yourself from months ahead to go less pain management intervention . Just remember if you do think you will want the epi just talk to the midwives beforehand because it does become too late when you get too close to pushing. Have you got any feedback on the epi no?

anyone going in next week ? Iam soooo out of breath it's just ridiculous! Today iam fighting awful cramps on the other side ! I do get hungry but I can barely have more than a mouthful it's like my intestine has closed off!

Ann - no signs or date for me yet saw OB over 2wks ago and he's appt today has been moved till later again (as he had deliveries) but think I'm on track to go over into Jun still - although I have dropped since Sat as now my boobs are no longer resting on my belly anymore. I do get sore / aching areas on my tummy depending on how he's lying & bulging himself out & and sharp pains lower when he is wriggly.

Epi-no training I did start 2weeks ago /4 week prior to due date but have not used it everyday. The other day I was at 7cm but from 32wks scan bubs head was already 9cm so unless it hasn't grown any larger or he comes out with a super cone head I'll be surprised if I can avoid stitches as epi-no only goes to 10cm.

Fully understand the epidural point you make and also that sometimes you have to wait for it if no one is available to do it & therefore you can progress past the point before it can be done even if it was in your birth plan.

Jay, forgot to say I used the epi no too. Had no stitches just a small tear/graze that could heal by itself. I uses it most days but not every single day.

Nirok, the waiting gets a bit tedious doesn't it. And everyone is asking if you've had the baby which makes it worse. Just rest and baby will be here soon enough xx

    I didn't measure it sorry Jay. 😁
It did improve but it didn't feel like it was a massive improvement. Any extra prep will help and your body will stretch during child birth too. Did you do calm birth? They promoted it lots at that course.

    Just purchased:
wipes warmer $29.95 (+ $19.95 2xpack refill pads even though I shouldn't need them as they last 3 months and it comes with one,
Madela nipple shield (I hope medium is right size) &
    bosom buddy gel pack

from Baby Bunting which I've put the nipple shield and gel pads in my breastfriend feeding pillow pocket (just in case .... Wanted to hit any sore spots early) ... can't hurt to be prepared!

AFM: OB appt StrepB test results negative and bub doing well with a head measuring 9.5cm diameter a week ahead :0 but OB reckons that's great & perfectly fine, he then started to ask me more about having an epidural haha I asked him if that meant I'm expected to tear & he replied not necessarily haha! Anyway bub looking to my right head well down bum at my belly & feet on my right side with plenty of room to kick OBs ultrasound stick whilst he was measuring HB hehehe that's my cheeky little wiggle worm.
    38weeks tomorrow yippee!
Does anyone else have a red hot face even OB said I look very flush!

Hey Jay if you don't mind me asking where did you buy your wipes warmer? I think we have the same one Prince Lionheart, I need to buy refills too! I haven't tried it out yet but it says it won't dry out or brown the bottom stacked wipes. This was an issue (iam talking 16 yrs ago!) with some of them. I asked for it at Baby Bunting and the lady had no idea what I was going on about !!! And said there was another customer asking for it but she didnt know something like that even existed!

DH was very excited and set up the electric steriliser! He was folding tiny little clothes and placing them last night and I sat there watching him. We have set up a little baby nook, with the bassinet, change station! Bought like a white bookshelf to place bubs toys, book, clothing, etc and placed wicker baskets, hung frames and and found a gorgeous soft toy that we bought like 6 years in overseas thinking then that we were going to have a baby then! also everytime we went overseas we would buy something for the long awaited bubs! We have a storage that we placed all out stuff in Bris, we went and retrieved all the bubby stuff we have been collecting over the years! DH also recently bought a gorgeous colourful wooden plaque that spells Believe that we placed in the nook. Will be here for two months so want to create a homey touch. The apartment is nice and spacious and conveniently located in Springhill (right outside the free loop !) .
