Good luck today ABH, can't wait to hear the news

Riss I didn't use the lactation room. My milk came in late and the midwives showed me how to express and helped lots with breastfeeding. You can use the lactation room anytime FOC up to when Bubs is 12 months old. It's a great option! I was going to go in but our local maternal health nurse called to book in for this week and told me they have their own lactation nurses who do home visits. The nurse came yesterday and gave lots of tips.

Mia was pretty much up all night. I've realised she is mixing day and night. She slept most of the day yesterday and didn't drink much and then last night she was starving and I couldn't keep up with her I'll be waking her up today and hopefully we'll have a better night! Fingers crossed, mummy needs some sleep!!!!!!

I believe the chiropractor does work on the baby to attempt to correct sucking issues that may have caused mastitis.

It is completely personal choice but I would never have Chiropractic work done on my child. Last year a chiro in Vic broke a babies neck during a manipulation - not a risk I am willing to take!

ABH today is your day wooohoooo hope it's the smoothest ride to motherhood for you!
    Best of luck

Ngaiz sorry about the mastitis it's an awful thing to get and I reckon the best advice for new mums is see a dr as soon as your boobs feel any hard spots, hot, you don't feel good etc etc it's not worth waiting to see as the sooner you get onto it the better to avoid what you are now sadly having to deal with. Hopefully your feeling better today. Sounds like you are doing the best management possibly just hang in there'

Jj these early days are hard, aren't they. Thank god V was able to get back to her routine last night, after yesterday's mess. She ended up waking at 2, 4 and 8 am for a feed and going straight back to sleep without a grizzle.
From what the nurses have told me you need to be giving her a quality feed every time. So fill her up during the day so she is getting her full quota of milk and she shouldn't be waking up so frequently at night hungry.
I'm still trying to understand the difference between a good quality feed and when she is just sucking for comforts sake.
Lotsa how gorgeous. Wow, a TV star in the making!
