Bedlover - I feel hungry all the time too. So much so I've put back on 3kg

Have a few new things to try with Erin but have decided to only try for another 2-3weeks.

YES! So hungry and thirsty! Breastfeeding is definitely burning lots of calories here too.

    Hi ladies.

My beautiful little girl Te Ipo Ihimairangi Alexandra (aka Lexi) was born at 4:42pm weighing 8lb4oz. Her first name means The beloved gift from heaven.

I ended up having two failed epi attemps then a general. I didnt care how my baby was born but I'm so disappointed and upset that we both missed it

Dh did skin to skin for over an hour while I woke up, she feed straight away and is peacefully sleeping on my chest right now.

Still drugged up and in absolute awe.

Welcome Lexi! Such a lovely meaning to her name Ngaiz

I know I had some disappointment having a c-section, but I can only imagine how strange it must have been to go to sleep and wake up with your baby suddenly on the outside! I guess the silver lining is your DH will always have a very special memory of the first hour holding his little princess so close xo

Congratulations Ngaiz! What an absolutely gorgeous meaningful name!
I hope you are recovering well. Xx
Well looks like the girls are winning. No wonder there is a man shortage hehe

Out of curiosity- I was wondering if research is true regarding gender in ivf. Normal ivf results in more girls but icsi favours boys. Is it true in your case?

We did icsi and are having a boy.

Ngaiz! How exciting and what a beautiful name.

I was looking down the barrel of a c section under GA and I can only imagine how you are feeling. Prior to being told a GA wasn't essential I spent some time talking to a counsellor about how I felt about it. I would strongly recommend asking your hospital if they have a social worker / counsellor you could have a chat to. My hospital has a specialist maternity / obstetric social worker who helped me when we lost our last bub and I spoke to her - only one session but she was AMAZING and helped so much. Turned out I didn't need it but was great all the same.

So pleased you are enjoying your precious little bundle now. Xx
