Sure does! I'm sitting in my sexy gown waiting to be taken down to theatre.

I really don't know how I feel right now. Nervous, scared, excited.... All of it!

Im still in disbelief that this is actually happening

Eta-i know two things I feel, hungry and thirsty!!!

    Haha! All the best Ngaiz!

I was the same - a mix of emotions that left me feeling a bit nothing. It will all change when you first see / hear your bubba! X

Speaking of hungry, I don't seem to be able to eat enough at the moment. Must be BF but I am feeling desperately hungry all the time!! Anyone else getting this?

Cheaper than buying lots of sheets for bubs bassinet. And saved me being peed on twice!

Jay awesome pergola and spa. The winters here do get pretty chilly so that will be amazing in July.

Found out I have a pretty severe case of mastitis. I thought I was getting a bad flu but no. Discovered red splotches on my boobs and soooo painful lumps and went to dr who confirmed it. Yeah it's no fun. At least bubs is measuring over his birth weight today at 3 weeks old. That's positive.
Tks for tip on towel nappies I've actually got some which I've put press studs in one corner so I can hang off change table to cover Juniors boy bits when I change him as some boys seem to spontaneously pee as soon as the nappy comes off & they're free (because they are on change tables and your leaning towards them, chatting away it usually copes unsuspecting victims in the face). With the press stud it's easy to remove if wet and ready to go.

Were really chuffed with spa & pagola area too just hoping Junior waits till after it's done so hubby & I get some time to enjoy before he arrives!

Fish tanks arrived today! Very exciting now to get them plumbed up, & the cladding done to enclose it all so it's Junior proof

No good about mastitis ! Guessing Dr put you on antibiotics, hope it works quickly for you. My Neice used to get it bad first time she noticed a small lump in one boob but though a pimple or something she'd check out next day but by noticed it was sore during night feeds & by morning both her boobs were so sore and hard she was in tears and so crook. Took awhile to get better but next time she noticed when she was here & knew better what to do & hit it straight away with medication and it didn't get as bad. I hate seeing the tears in her eyes while trying to feed when she was here. Hope your better already!

Berra - tip for the hips when you get up for toilet breaks in night do some stretches for hamstrings , quads, calves & hips to prevent muscle stiffness as I find this helped and have made it a routine since about 17weeks pregnant!

Oh JJ she's precious has such a grown up side profile but bet she has baby cute looks when she's staring up at you! Congrats! Another girl too, well they now take the lead over boys but boys are just warming up I reckon

I am pleased to say that I too have given birth to a little girl Elizabeth (Ellie) Ann early this morning at around 2am or so. I think she was around 4.2kg but I don't know her stats and my husband isn't here to check.

I know I've written part of my birth story but I'll put it all together here.

I had a first lot of Prostin gel to soften the cervix on Sat at 10am. Sun 6am I had a second dose. I was reassessed at 5pm Sunday evening and there was no change. I had the balloon catheter inserted Sun night where it was to remain for 12 hours to manually stretch my cervix. Being in hospital and in a bit of pain I didn't sleep much on Sunday.

Monday morning my cervix had stretched to something like 1.5 cm which was enough to break my waters at 7am. I was then put on the drip and it took a while but started getting contractions. At around 4pm I was told that I was between 2-3cm. I was using gas but the contractions were quite intense and I knew I had a way to go. I thought it through and decided to have an epidural. That went in around 6pm. At 6:30 another internal was done and there had been no change. Still only 2-3 cm. The baby's head was swollen due to pressure so it was recommended I do a c-section. At this point I readily agreed. Because baby and I were relatively happy and healthy we were bumped for distressed babies and didn't end up heading down until 1:30am or so. Then after being in recovery etc I was back on the ward by 5am this morning. I still feel really out of it and can't fully process everything due to exhaustion but absolutely thrilled and have no regrets about the path we took.
Wow that a long time no wonder your still exhausted but huge congrats and welcome Ellie

Congrats JJ and hwaterhouse on your beautiful girls.

All the best Ngaiz. How exciting.

Amps I can recommend the waeco inverter. Sounds like you are doing a great job as a mum. My DH works FIFO too, week on week off. Will be a big change when I'm looking after bub on my own for the first time. But will be great to have them home for quality time.
