I'm totally with you there; except I'll likely be screaming, and begging, and pleading for it (not just asking), the instant I arrive at the hospital. I have a low pain tolerance, and low pain threshhold; so it's not going to take much for me to be in unbearable agony with this.

Ann, one of my close friends bought me this. I turn 40 in 2 weeks and this was an early birthday present she gave me a few days before Matthew was born. Scroll down to read the text, it still makes me cry. My friend hoped for a baby girl for 7 years, and fell pg naturally at 44. I prayed for that baby for all those years always believing she would arrive. She in turn, never gave up hope that I would be blessed with the family I desired. Her card said she hoped the figurine would remind her of the journey we had shared.

This will probably sound silly but I am really struggling with my IVF journey being over. For 7 years I have been consumed with getting pregnant and having my family. Now that I have the 2 children I always wanted, it seems weird to let go and move on with the next phase. It's almost like an addiction I don't know how to break. I'm sure hormones are playing a part, I cry at the drop of a hat, I feel so emotional. I just never expected to feel like this.

So excited for all the new bundles that are nearly here.

Arlais, your story is almost identical to what happened to me with DS, the nappies, the weight everything. You don't realise how much you don't know the first time. I'm sure it's really common.

It sounds like we will be exactly the same catlover, I doubt I will be asking either. I remember when I mildly overstimulated with this cycle of IVF and I was stomach cramping and throwing up all night long and part way through the night I was in tears with a mixture of pain/exhaustion/dose of feeling sorry for myself, both me and DH thought the same how will I cope with labour, the answer I won't!!!haha

Hi ladies. Just a quick one from me to let you know that we have a beautiful baby girl! Madeleine was born yesterday, normal birth and no stitches!! She is feeding really well and met her big brother today. I was so convinced I was having another boy! So lovely to have a little lady in our lives!

Congratulations LMM on your baby girl, Awesome job on the birth no stitches!

Just a quick question for all the new mums if you are using disposal nappies which have you found the best? There are so many out there I have babylove newborn but read they are prone to leaks at night so was wondering whether to get some huggies for night or coles comfy bot read they are good too...oh decisions

Lots -all the best with your hospital visit.. Sounds like there isn't much more time to go, so exciting!!

Congrats LMM.. That's great news! Enjoy

Ann that's a lovely idea to give to DH.. I'm sure he will love it and the story behind it..

Panda that's so good the nurse knew everything already and you didn't have to repeat yourself..

AFM - had my OB appointment and everything is looking good.. Bubs has moved down a bit more (yay!) and my OB says it could be in position next week and we could get induced early.. Either way we will know after my appointment on Wednesday..

They did a sweep and I was 2cm dilated and it was thinning out. Finally on my way home to spend time with my parents who arrived today.
