I think it depends on the doctor Ann. My Ob apparently always puts a drain in. A comment from one of the nurses seemed to suggest he uses one every time but that it is definitely not standard across the board.

I only just found out at church this morning (although it was supposed to be a surprise) that one of my friends from church is throwing me a baby shower later this afternoon. I originally thought she was just inviting us around for dinner, but then someone else let the cat out of the bag this morning about the real purpose for us going over there.

Hugs Veritas hope it's still under control if not sorted.

Have fun Cat what a nice surprise!

Sorry Ann haven't really asked my OB anything about how he does c sections as guess I don't want to worry if he's not avail & another OB was to be there and started doing things differently.

    How exciting Cat!!!!

Ann-I think we've a had few mention that pain. I've had it off and on and Ob is troubled by it so I hope one of the other ladies can help. Mine could be a symptom of PE but liver function is fine.

Arlais glad you're home and Annabel is putting on weight.

Veritas sorry to hear about the pain.. Glad it's getting under control now though.

Catlover what a lovely surprise! Enjoy the Baby Shower!

Ann I didn't know about the drain but will ask my OB when I see her next..

On a clean frenzy this weekend!! Cleaned out our wardrobe, cleaned all our plantation shutters and dusted everywhere and almost finished washing Bubs clothes.. Feeling very tired but relieved it's done

It doesn't look like Bubs has dropped so a c section might be our only option.. We'll see over the next few days.. The dilemma I have now is when to get the c section. On my due date of 2 May which is my late grans bday or do we push it forward a couple days prior to 30 April as this is the cut off date for kids to start school in VIC?? Hmmmmm..

Hope all you new mums are recovering well and enjoying your gorgeous little bundles of joy.

Well I am 32weeks and getting really impatient now I wish these 8 weeks would just fly by, at least we have two short weeks at work coming up.

We bought the last of our big purchases this weekend and my DH convinced me to buy a rocking lazyboy for the nursery instead of a glider so we can move it into the living room after....I am actually glad we have now because I started reading my baby book (contented little baby) last night it recommended trying to settle your baby in the nursery straight away even if in bassinet so it becomes familiar to him and will be easier then to establish a routine so I am going try this so I can see the lazyboy becoming a bed at times for me and DH too.

Ngaiz I'm loving your arrivals roll call, nice work!

Sorry I've been so absent ladies, extremely busy with work and baby prepping so I've barely had time to read the thread let alone post any replies. My last week at work now and its only a 4-day week so not much longer to go!

Huge congrats to Amps , Keri , Arlais , RTkirk , October & Veritas . So exciting that your babies are here and I agree, absolutley amazing that you've made time to pop in with updates and advice. Hope to see some more pics of your precious bundles and hope they are settling into your families as though they've always been there xo
