It would appear the Brandis exposure draft of changes to the race hate law is now coming under sustained attack from within the Liberal Party.

    http://www.smh.com.au/national/rebel...426-zqysw.html

This is hardly a big surprise given the near-universal condemnation the draft has received. The question for the govt is whether they can find a face-saving way of backtracking from a proposal that only ever had support from the hard Right.

I did see that. I was more amazed by the ipa guy saying 'only on the abc do we see 2 questions in a row from socialist alternatives' and tony responding 'only on the abc is the ipa there to respond'. Such agenda pushing.

Also I think mr ipa just let slip how much string pulling they do with responding to a question about policy around research funding 'we're not going to.....'? Should that not be 'government is not going to.....'?

So according to the guest on lateline (who I presume to be from the commission of audit) the average of 11 visits to a gp that Australian's make each year it a terrible burden. Way to encourage public health - don't go to the dr, you are not worth it.
