Default 4 year old vaccination reaction.

My almost 4 year old ds had his needles yesterday and my 1 year old dd at the same time. He unlike her has never had a problem after his needles. Yesterday he complained of his arm being sore and didn't want to use it, it was slightly red at the injection site. He woke up this morning complaining of being hot and had a slight temp which I gave him Panadol for. He has been miserable all day and has now been asleep since 4.00 I woke him for dinner at 6 but he went back to sleep. He doesn't have a temp anymore. I know these are all common side effects but I am wondering if anyone's child has had similar and how long did it last?

    Hey.

My four year old just had his vaccinations on Tuesday and had a similar reaction. He has also never had any problems before. His injection site is red and feels hot but I can see it going down now and he hasn't been bothered by it.

Yes, my daughter was exactly the same after her 4yo vax and never had a problem with her other needles. It lasted 2 or 3 days.

Thanks so much he has just woken up and requested a ham sandwich hope he is feeling much better tomorrow. Just found it strange that this was his first reaction while dd so far nothing. He was so brave and said he wanted to go first and be brave for his sister.
