Are you for real? What an insulting post regarding teachers. Did you bother to see why they are protester before opening your mouth?
    Ugh infuriating.

God OP your post makes me angry! They are striking for YOUR child, not themselves.

Educate yourself then come back and post.

    SIGHHHHHHHHHHH.

I can understand if you are upset by the lack of planning/notification.

But your remarks about hours etc are very uninformed.

The media coverage surrounding this is making me angry. They're not really going into the details too much, and more than half the article is normal a liberal member talking about how bad it is for our kids that they're striking for one day... No mention of the cuts they've already handed down, or the further cuts.

Did anyone else get a snotty letter home from the government saying that we have to send our kids to school today or else it will be marked down as an "unexplained absence"? And how they should be striking during the holidays? Sorry, but how does striking during the holidays get anyone's attention?!

I for one support our teachers they deserve a hell of a lot more than they are asking for.

Please remember they are ones who are teaching our children. We need them.

They are fighting for our future.

Honestly, even if the teachers were striking for better pay, they'd damn well deserve it too. They should be one of the highest paid people in the country, along with ambulance, police and firies. They are a necessity to the future of YOUR children, mine, and everyone elses.

I'm not even a teacher and I find your comments disrespectful, rude and upsetting. How anyone can dismiss teachers in such a way baffles me.

Have you even bothered to look into why the teachers are striking? Obviously not. They are not out to torture you, or upset your kids, they are doing it for a reason and because they need certain things to make your kids education the *best* it can and that is all their is too it. Not the first subject you have strong feelings about that you don't seem to know much about is it?

Sorry, uneducated vents are the worst - you have to expect people will pull you up on it.

True she is allowed to vent but if she had of left out the insults I'm pretty sure people wouldn't be so annoyed? She's allowed to vent but she disrespected and insulted a whole profession, she had to of expected back lash.
