This is what I have heard too

He really does look like a Baratheon though!

I think this theory is the best one out there and I actually agree. I think Jon Snow's parents are Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark. If this was true it would mean he is heir to the Iron Throne. And I think they ran away together as two consenting people in love.
Lots of hints in the books. But, having said that, we've all learnt to expect the unexpected haven't we! And I have a feeling George RR is pressed for time so all these hints could quite possibly be abandoned (I read a few days ago he's a notoriously slow writer).
Pity we have to wait so long to find out!

The only issue with him being heir to the throne is the fact that he joined the nights watch.

Something from the last episode that was bothering me was why Arya didn't give the Hound mercy, it seemed so cold hearted after them kind of becoming friends. I figure its because his name was no longer on her list. He'd earned his way off the list, and because he wasn't on the list, she couldn't kill him. ???

That's how I took it. Also she wanted to help him she couldn't kill him while he was being for it. There is no honour in that kind of death.
Just a thought though. I like your wording better.

The hound is such a tragic figure, I think they did a good job with him in the series.

I think Arya didn't like him all that much and just wanted to see him suffer.

Nope.... She refused to give him mercy. Arya is fairly ruthless. Reminding him of what he did to the butchers boy (for example) made her less likely to kill him. She wanted to make him suffer.

See I thought he was just trying to make her mad so that she would get angry and kill him without him having to beg, but when that didn't work he ended up being anyway.

... but I guess I just refuse to think that a stark could be so mean, haha
