I Pm'd you my FS and clinic BBHope. Nice to hear from another Perth girl. I didn't realise we were that behind here but I am not surprised! Its annoying that we don't have availability of specialists in our state. I feel sorry for girls who never stumble over this information and their FS don't know to tell them and they keep on trying and have no answers. Heart breaking. The words of Dr Beer in the intro to his book (I haven't read all of 'is your body baby friendly' yet), really got me 'if there is an issue, we will find it' and then he described the enduring persistence of women despite all the pain and setbacks and how they never give up. I felt like he really got it. I actually cried reading it as he was the first FS I ever heard saying anything close to really understanding and actually caring (and I am really hormonal and fragile with my MC so inclined to cry ).

Wishing you the best of luck. Your CP must have been devastating.

Snowy, welcome! So sorry for your loss, really hope Dr M is your saviour. I totally agree with what you say about Dr Beer, I burst into tears reading that opening of his, it is so genuine & caring and everything he writes just gets you in your heart... he was an amazing man, so full of love, hope & compassion... He truly understood, what a rare thing, so lucky he pioneered this work & that that book was written. All the best xxx

Hey ladies, I'm just hanging around waiting for my appt with dr m in 2 weeks. I o'd sometime this week but I'm trying to ignore it since nothing will come off it. I got dr beers book the other day, I can't believe my fs and my rheumatologist both said there was no chance my immune system had anything to do with me not getting a bfp.

Well, after lurking for a year and I mean reading everyday, i've finally found the courage to join BH.I feel like I know you all so well and every single person on here is an inspiration and I wouldn't be where I'm at without the advice and insight from each and every one of you, so firstly...Thank you. Everything I've learnt regarding IVF has been from BH through all your individual experiences. I think the IVF medical professionals should read these forums as well to learn a thing or two! After 2yrs, 10 ivf cycles and 14 embryo transfers without a hint of implantation I'm going to South Africa for an egg donor. I'm 43 and single and have good AMH of 13 and feel luck hasn't gone my way with at least 3 cycles, they should have been cancelled or EPU timing was wrong. After 8 cycles (those 8 were probably a waste of money as well) I found out I have immune issues, MTHFR mutation gene and Natural High Killer cells in the uterine (50mm). I would feel confident going to SA if I didn't have this but when I found out about the issues I decided to give it 1 more go with OE and Dr Beers immune protocol. I had a great FS who supported me with this protocol even though he didn't know much about it. I gave him the book to read and told him what protocol we should try, yes, I actually had one that was open to these issues! Unfortunately after 2 cycle attempts I didn't have any embryos to transfer, so I'm devastated that I couldn't test it, but I had to draw a line in sand as I was wasting good money that I could use for SA. I'm just worried this will impede DE from implanting as well. I've made a phone appt with Dr M for the end of July so I'm guided by the expert rather than me researching protocols off this forum.I'm now stressing that another bump in the road will be that Dr M will tell me I have to do IVIG rather than intrilipids which I won't be able to afford if I get a BFP as all my money is going towards SA.Sorry, i can't seem to work out how to keep the paragraph returns.

Welcome @Miss Sagi. Sorry to hear about your long journey. Hopefully Dr M can help you out so you can give SA your best shot. Best of luck.

@ SoClose, how's the 2ww going? Been thinking of you. Hope you're managing to keep your mind distracted!
@PreciousHeart, how are you going? any news when you can start your next FET?
@hopespringseternal, I'll have ivig on Tues so will let you know. I'm doing ivf so may be different to natural cycle but for me it's about 1-2 weeks before embryos transfer and then 1-2 weeks after a BFP with a possibility of needing more every 4 weeks.

Hope everyone else is doing well and keeping warm!

Welcome Snowy and Miss Sagi . I hope Dr M has some answers and directions for you both to keep moving forward.

Thanks ladybug. Am doing ok! BT is Friday so still have all week to send myself crazy. I don't feel any different to any other cycle. Sigh. But it's early days yet, so just hoping and praying. How long does the ivig usually take to do? Is it just done like the intralipids are done?

Hi to everyone else wherever you're at! Chiefsgirl hope you're doing ok!

Fingers and toes crossed for Friday @soclose. Try not to read into the symptoms (or lack of). My only proper BFP was the cycle I had the least symptoms. So don't be discouraged. Easy for me to say I know-you'll probably be saying the same thing to me in a couple of weeks!
Scan to re-check lining is tomorrow.
I think the steroids must have lowered my immune system somewhat. I've had the nastiest chest infection and I never get sick beyond a slightly sore throat.
Ivig seems to be the same as intralipids-Hartmans to hydrate first and then ivig infused over 4 hours.

Thanks so much preciousheart and soclose for the welcome. I had to buy the book after your words preciousheart. I had been reading extracts on the net.

I had my FS appointment today. Unfortunately he didn't have the genetic testing of the contents of my uterus yet so I don't know what the issue was with my last mc but he says he thinks its early implantation issues and agrees, I need to see a reproductive immunologist. I told him about Dr M and he said he usually uses a Professor Russel in Sydney or another one in New York and works with them but he is happy for me to go to Dr M and is writing my referral! I didn't know what to expect when I raised this with him and I am so happy he will work alongside an immunologist. Perth girls - if you want to know who my FS is, PM me.

I think I will keep my appointment with Dr M. I was tempted to try the New York specialist as surely they know more in America but my FS reckons they all share info now so Dr M should know as much as them. What do you think? You girls know Dr M and say good things so do you think stick with my phone consult for later this month?

Soclose - it sounds like you are in the TWW? If so, wishing you the best of luck.

God, I really hope I am getting closer to having a baby. My FS has me getting some more immune related blood tests done. I wonder how I will go with them.

    Good luck everyone.
