    Hi girls

Its my first post in here and firstly, I must thank you all for all the info I have read so far going back over your posts. I am so glad I found you all (on Monday this week while on sick leave from my latest d&c and lap). Since then, I have made an appt with Dr M and the first I could get was 25 July, which isn't too far away. I go back to my FS next week for the lab results of the d&c. Going to tell him I booked in with an immune specialist. I don't know how he will take it but its my body and my choice. I don't know if these FS really care about how bad we want a baby.

I am going to get a copy of my IVF file as it has heaps of test results for Dr M to start with. Any other tips for making the most of the first appt (it will be over the phone as I am in Perth)? Scruffy has been helping me with info too - big thanks Scruffy!

Good luck to those PUPO and best wishes to all.

Welcome Snowy12! You've joined a thread with lots of lovely helpful ladies. And hopefully Dr M will be able to help you. I had my first consult with him about 3 months ago now. I had a huge list of questions and he took the time to answer them all. Basically he will want all your test results/history before the consult. Depending on your tests he'll probably order some more bloods and might suggest a biopsy. He sent me the blood request form via email right after the consult and I had them done the next day. It was about $200-300 as some are not covered. They took about 10 days to come back. Some good tips are when getting a plan, ask for a back up plan if 'xyz' doesn't work so you don't have to do consults all the time. Also pencil in a follow up appointment for around when test results should be back-otherwise you end up wasting time waiting for an appointment. Also keep on Gwyneth's tail (his receptionist/nurse?). They're lovely but so busy and quite disorganized.
Good luck! Hope he has some answers for you.
Interested to know what your FS's reaction is. I'm too scared to tell mine in case they refuse to transfer my embryos (not sure if they even can)!

Welcome snowy12. I am so sorry for your loss. Another Perth gal here. Which clinic are you with here if you don't mind me asking? Well, I know the FS that i am seeing here in perth doesn't believe a thing about immune problem. I found out via another gal. So I am keeping it quiet as it takes me ages to just find a clinic which is willing to take me as a patient without me cycling there. A thumb up for you to tell the FS. I did my cycle in sydney, chemical preg and will go back to pick up our last, miracle mbie next month. My FS in syd is in fact puts me on the immune protocol. Geez....perth is really like 10--20 yrs behind the clock.

Thanks ladybug. Thats really helpful info. Its such a waiting game all this so anything I can do to speed things up, I really appreciate knowing. I will let you know what my FS says. I printed off the brochure for Dr M's clinic and will take it to my appt with my FS. Might not pull it out depending on how he reacts!
