This thread moves so fast that I can't keep up. I feel sorry for not doing personal. Please don't take it personally.

Rubylou88: I am sorry, did you get my last PM about the FS in perth? I am PMing you.

Bertie: DQ level? Dr M didn't test me for that. What is that? Why do you need it?

Scruffy: Are you going to give that Perth guy a try for the intralipid?

Rainnow: I lost track of how much we spent on all the tests. I remember submitting my claims too often that the lady at the priv health fund desk even remember my name. The bills haven't stopped coming in since July last year!

He books up a long time ahead, so make an appointment, as that gives you time to organise things in the meanwhile. I have been a bit sack in the past 6 months compiling my costings so I probably couldn't even give you a realistic figure. I really must sit down and sort that out one day, as I know that would be useful for others. AFM..... fertilisation overnight was 8 out of the 9 mature eggs!!! We are all so over-the-moon about such great numbers. We've never had numbers like this with my eggs, in fact we didn't get much more than that over 8 full stim cycles! I'm feeling rather excited about it all now. Of course a little worried that my body is going to let it all down, and so hope that the intrallipids and other meds for NKCs work their magic this time. Anyhow, there's nothing more I can do, so just have to wait it out. We'll find out on Mon (day 3) what the embryos are doing, and then look for transfer on Wed (day 5). Thanks everyone for thinking about me and all your good wishes.
where is Dr M located? I live in Adelaide. can you have ever TX for nkcells without having ivf?

He is located in Sydney. In principle, yes, you can test for NK cell without having to do the IVF. You can either do a phone consult ($300) with Dr. M which he will give a list of BT to do or ask your GP to order the BT (there is a comprehensive list here somewhere on the thread). The benefit of the latter case is that you can go ahead with the testing without a long wait just to get the BT referral from Dr. M. Once you have the result, if anything suspicious, book in to consult with Dr. M. or you can book now knowing when you will get your BT result. Note: the chromosome test takes 2--4 weeks to come back. The most extensive tests are NK cell biopsy, hysteroscopy, lap...etc that Dr. M might want to do. Other gyno can do it but Dr. M usually prefers to do it himself. These are few thousands dollar and you have to fly to Sydney for the procedure.

Of course, do whatever you feel comfortable of doing.

Bbhope..... after my second go of doing Intrallipids but still getting a BFN, I asked Dr M if there were any further tests he could do. He ordered a few others (done through the Red Cross, nothing can be claimed) and the DQ ones came back high. He said those are to do with implantation (yes, I already knew I had a problem there) and lining issues (which I don't have an issue, mine has always been perfect). But then he said there wasn't anything extra to do or take to solve that!! Go figure! I'm already on aspirin, Prednisolone, Clexane and Intrallipds, so I'm interested to know if others are doing anything different with Dr M? Rainbow2015..... yes some women who have high NKCs or high ANA, have immune treatment without doing IVF, as their issue is the NKC not the actual egg issue.

bbhope - I am hoping to be able to get intralipids in Perth next time around... Have not yet contacted the specialist but would save a lots of $$$ if I could. We are a few months off going again but hopefully before the end of the year.

MGC - I has a chemical with my first attempt at intralipids with Dr M, he wanted to do intralipids again with 2nd attempt and I insisted on an IVIG. I had one pre transfer and then intralipids from positive pregnancy test onwards. Have you thought about trying that?

Bertie: i am confused. Didnt you do the NK cell biopsy? If the biopsy suggests high NK cell, shouldn't that the DQ level high as well? I think they are correlated. How long does it take for the result to come back? Do you need referral?

Ya it is rather nerve wrecking. I just saw another failed pregnancy attempt with dr M protocol when I was in syd. The poor lady had a D&C with him that day.

    Hi MCG
You asked if anyone else wasting anything different with Dr M. I am pregnant again (11 weeks), my 9th pregnancy after 7 miscarriages in 3 yrs and my current protocol is IVIG every 4 wks ($3k a go), Dexamethasone till week 9 swapping to prednisolone, Neupogen till week 11 (aprox $1400 for about 50 days supply), clexene and supplements.
I get pregnant but kept miscarrying. I have high ANA's and the Dexamethasone and then the prednisolone is suppose to treat that. The longest it has ever taken me to get pregnant is 2 cycle even though so I am pretty sure I do not gave an egg issue but definitely immune issues as it's not normal to lose 7. We had 4 tested and with the exception of one the others were chromosomal normal.
the post below your asked whether anyone had a healthy baby after intralipid and it 100% works as I know plenty of women with ridiculous amounts of failed cycles who then used intralipids and had a success pregnancy. I was next to a lady last week in Hurstville, I was doing IVIG and doge was doing intralipd and did had 9 failed ivf transfers before trying intralipid and got pregnant on that cycle and was 20 weeks. I myself have never carried past 6 weeks since my first pregnancy without infusions and I am now 11 weeks. It definitely works! Only one thing I will add is you need proper immune testing as intralipid works for most women but not all. Some women need IVIG and that works for everyone with killer cells. Intralipid is $650 through Dr m so much cheaper than IVIG and it's not a blood product.

@Nidhulaine that's amazing to hear your story wishing u healthy pregnancy 😊 I was starting to get a little worried about the fact I'm only on intralipids and whethe it will work on its own I guess only time will tell will be seeing dr m if my clinic has no success after a few transfers I don't know how emotionally strong I am with dealing with multi chemicals of a mis carriage if that happens I've had two consecutive chemicals that I know of one natural one through ivf my embies are not making it past a few days and biopsy confirmed the very high NK cells thank you for sharing def makes me feel better knowing there are options that actually work

Miisalina having multiple chemicals is a red flag for immune issues as you have fertilised embryos which are actually implanting as they start producing hcg. Your body then attacks them. Honestly Dr M is on a roll as he has so many success stories at the moment. I won't say a 100% but he must be hitting 80% success rate and for many women they only need steroids, intralipids and clexene. Either way ur in good hands and looking at your signature you have age on your side and so many women dont work out it's immune issues till it's too late to even use their own eggs. So try and relax as many Dr M patients achieve success even on their first cycle of immune meds and if u end up with another chemical then there is a lot more options with stronger immune drugs as you can see from my signature. As I said I have conditions across so many stories of take home babies after immune meds and Simpson desert story is on this board, she delivered a healthy baby girl only last week. Good luck and be positive.
