Kiwi.... sorry I don't have any information on that, but staying on 15mg prednisolone until next blood test and talking to Dr M sounds right to me. 15mg is such a small amount I don't think it will matter if you're on it a bit longer. Otherwise I do want to say how exciting that you've got to 17 weeks - such a milestone. Such a long time and effort to get there, and now 17 weeks has passed. I can't only hope that it will be me too one day. Good luck, and look forward to hearing updates throughout the year xx

Thanks Kiwi! Wow 17wks already for you, so pleased all is going well. I was on 15mg pred for 3 weeks. Staying at that dose until you get bt results won't hurt at all.

    Hi,

Little back ground. We've had 4 ivf cycles. First one was a bust, no embryos at all. Second we had one embryo bfn, third two embryos bfn. Last cycle which was a month ago we went on a health kick went full organic for 3 months we got 9 embryos, 5 went through to day 5. One was transferred, however bfn, again. So now we have 4 frosties, and we have lost confidence in our fs.

Please if you go to melb ivf who do you see, what was your experience, what was the process you went through. Blood test, scans etc?? Did your specialist do your transfer or was there someone else. Who do you recommend????

Pm me if you want it to be confidential.

    Thanks for reading

DH 33 me 34, 3 fur babies. 4x ivf/icsi cycles already. First didnt make it to et, second x1 embryo didnt want to stick around, third x2 embryos bfn, fourth (went organic for 3 months) x5 blastocysts x1 transferred bfn x4 frosties.

So I prepaid my phone conduit fee and emailed G again. That must be the trick! G said can drop to 10mg Pred next week for 2wks and get more bloods. So nervous about weaning off too soon. I have a scan next week so that will reassure hopefully. Don't think I'll ever stop worrying about losing baby till it comes out healthy!

What sort of birth are you planning SD? Did OB advise against natural due to immune issues?

Just a quick update..... Dr M told me last week that my DQ levels have also comeback high-ish now (apparently that's to do with implantation and lining). He didn't suggest anything different to what we're already doing. Had the intrallipids last Saturday. Had to share a room this time, with a lady who is already 9 weeks pregnant. But thankfully she was really nice closed the curtain between us and kept to herself. I thought this was a really nice act when sharing a room with someone who's done 8 totally unsuccessful cycles, as I'd hate to have to share with someone pushy about them being pregnant. AFM.... my sister's EPU went really well this morning. She got 10 eggs, and later in the day found out that 9 of them were mature, which we're over-the-moon about. They looked at my DH's sperm sample, but as always, nothing there, so used the anonymous donor sperm that we'd chosen. Now just have to wait until the morning to find out how many fertilise. I so hope the DS is good and does what it needs to, especially since my sister did such a good job producing nice little eggies :-)) I guess out of our hands now.

Hello ladies. me and dp nave had 2 losses along with 3 Chem pregnancies. I have been thinking the past few days about possibly having NK cells. How do.i go about getting tested? and how much roughly does TX cost ect? I fall into the categories and I have stage 3 endo.

Shell'80 I was so inspired when reading your post...9 embryos after going organic!! Wow that's an amazing turn around after 3 months. Was substituting to organic produce the only change you made or were there other changes to what you ate? I have tried a number of different diet plans but everything goes to pot when I get busy and don't plan ahead.

Disappointing that you have lost confidence in your fs. Fingers crossed you find the perfect person soon.

bbhope - hope you are going ok after mc. Sending you love and hugs. Did you find a copy of Dr Beers book? Our pm's have gone AWOL!

hello to all others and congrats to kiwi!

Woops forgot to give a quick update on me...will be commencing my first ivf cycle in a week. Eek! I am a bit nervous about the injections, I have to say, despite doing a practice run on a 'dummy tummy' this morning. I have postponed my appointment with Dr M until mid June for a couple of reasons, I felt I needed to go thru an ivf cycle first and I must admit, felt a little pressure to drop the whole Dr M theory from fs! Has anyone else gone thru Dr M's protocol while seeing fs at Hollywood FC in Perth?

    Hi Rubylou,

I went through Dr a Turner at Hollywood and Dr M to get my DS. I told Hollywood I was seeing Dr M but not much more than that. I just did all the immune stuff as an aside. Interestingly we are thinking about No. 2 so I will tell Dr Turner the full extent of what we did and will be interested to see his reaction :-)

Good Luck, it's a big commitment (and expense) doing it from Perth

Rainbow..... some of the normal IVF clinics are coming around to the idea of NKCs and will organise some of the testing (most of those tests are not claimable so they do costs $$$$) However, it's probably just best to make an appointment to see Dr M and get the who run of tests through him. He books up a long time ahead, so make an appointment, as that gives you time to organise things in the meanwhile. I have been a bit sack in the past 6 months compiling my costings so I probably couldn't even give you a realistic figure. I really must sit down and sort that out one day, as I know that would be useful for others. AFM..... fertilisation overnight was 8 out of the 9 mature eggs!!! We are all so over-the-moon about such great numbers. We've never had numbers like this with my eggs, in fact we didn't get much more than that over 8 full stim cycles! I'm feeling rather excited about it all now. Of course a little worried that my body is going to let it all down, and so hope that the intrallipids and other meds for NKCs work their magic this time. Anyhow, there's nothing more I can do, so just have to wait it out. We'll find out on Mon (day 3) what the embryos are doing, and then look for transfer on Wed (day 5). Thanks everyone for thinking about me and all your good wishes.
