Default Slow Cooker Lamb Shanks Recipe?

What's your best lamb shank recipe? I'm putting some in the slow cooker today and need some ideas on what to add in.

I just chuck a tin of tomatoes, some onion, garlic, carrot, grated zucchini, bit of water and beef stock, splash of red wine if I've got any, couple tsp of mixed herbs and a bay leaf or two, salt and pepper in the slow cooker. I brown the shanks first in a frypan and then place them on top of everything else. Serve over mashed potato. Yummo!

Similarly, I made lamb shanks using the McCormicks Mild Indian Beef Curry recipe base and it comes up AMAZING.

    I love this http://www.taste.com.au/recipes/2518...-recipesrecipe -

ETA I know it's not technically a slow cooker recipe but the flavours are lovely.

Thanks! I made a concoction from what I had at hand - crushed tomato, beef stock, onion, garlic, carrot and some spices. I hope it's nice!
