Another one. I was talking with my girls about music I used to like. And I was torn between which to explain first, cassettes or vinyl ha ha.

And don't get me started on vcr. When 'Video Killed the radio star' comes on the radio (gold 104) the questions they ask cause my head to implode!

Edit: Jennifer Rush sang it. Gawd I hated that song
Oh god I need to stop reading this thread. Dd1 found all my old Vhs movies and vhs player and asked what in earth they were.

Actually, just the fact I watched Video Hits up until my teens says a lot really....

Ah I was in year 9, my year 12 song was Electric Blue by Ice House, followed closely by Funky Town by Pseudo Echo!

When I was recommended to use anti ageing skin care products the other week. I'm not even 30 yet!

When your on holidays and look across the pool and the little old Nanna is wearing the same bathers as you. She was either a pretty funky Nanna or I dress a lot older than I am!

Im only in my early 20's so not old but I saw a definate adulthood change in myself when my son was born. I find myself saying a lot of things my parents did, and appreciating my parents more and more everyday. I also get upset at the tv shows on abc now... they've ruined bananas in pjamas and peter rabbit. It makes me sad that my son won't see captain planet and power rangers etc etc...

We played the original Franky Goes to Hollywood song at our wedding, as it was one of 'our songs' we used to play (on Cassette Tape, lol) when we were dating and you should have seen DH and my faces when we heard this cover being touted by the radio announcer as though it was a 'new song'!

It was the same when No Doubt released 'It's my Life' and we were like, 'Isn't that 'Talk Talk's song.

Just talking about LP'S, Singles, Tapes, record Needles, EP's makes me feel old and reminiscing about 'breaking the end of the needle' and having to tell my parents!

Another, making a mixed tape and pushing/breaking in the little square tabs so you wouldn't accidentally tape over the songs you spent ages taping and pausing out the ads and DJs!

Yep, ALL such things make me feel like an ancient relic.

My job involves doing pre employment medicals. When nice young healthy guys come in my first thought is not how hot they are but how proud their mothers must be! 15 years ago I'd have been asking them out!!! So old. So so old.
