I had my laparoscopic tubal ligation done yesterday afternoon as you know...They also performed a d&c... Boy am I sore now.

Still very tender at the port sites and moving around is proving difficult. I've relied on my pain killers too much and when they wore off I felt everything. I'm also still getting referred shoulder pain from the gas, although I'm told it should start to dissipate over the next day or so. Thank goodness!

I am feeling a lot better now I know that the chapter of conception, pregnancy and birth is finally closed

Oh boy that shoulder pain from the gas is horrible isnt it. They shoukd squash you down to remove it before they stitch you up I think!

One thing I learnt was if you need pain killers, take them. Nothing worse than being in pain and having to care for children.

Yippee to no contraception!! And no more babies. My toddler (15months) is being a devil.

Thank you anewme! I will get some today. Gosh it's annoying and pain killers don't help it haha

I'm still on the strong pain killers had op Wednesday afternoon and it's now Friday morning. I wonder how long it will hurt this bad for.

Eta- had an allergic reaction to the sticky pads over it and the steri strips. Found out I was also glued and so itchy where the glue is!

Hey Hun still a little sore. My belly button incision has opened so had a few steristrips popped over for now until I can see the gp.
And very constipated (sorry tmi) haven't been since morning of surgery

Are you on panadene forte? That makes me constipated. Maybe get something from the chemist to help you if you can. Might make you feel a bit better too.
Bummer about your incision opening up. Any chance you could just go up to the er?

I've rang the locum doctors and they should be coming out soon. It's wet windy and I don't want dd out in this.

I was on panadeine forte I stopped taking them last night.

I'm taking coloxyl tablets. Hoping they help ASAP.
