That seems to be the only benefit in paying the extra $1600 each.
I'll have to ring Qantas and ask them about it.
KLM, we just went with the cheapest fares. Then if we needed to change, it would be $300 each plus the cost of the fare difference. That was with Qantas and we took the gamble. For us, the dates worked out exactly to CFC's plan. Some people, like January, have been really unlucky and needed to extend but I imagine that's a small percentage of people, who have problems like that. CFC already ask you to allow 12 days to compensate for any possible date shifts.

Was that the Red E Deal or Sale fare? As just with the Saver fare the rules said the change fee was $80 or $100 to change plus fare diff. Which is unbelievably cheaper than paying the Flex fare. Think I'll just go with Saver fare. I have already been prepared to stay for 14 days.
    Thanks for your feedback! 😊

I think it was Saver or Sale fare. Whatever was the cheapest at that time. The flights were around $2400 each. I'm pretty sure it was $280 or similar each to change them, and possibly an extra $80 if you had to call the qantas service centre to do it. We would have needed to do that as ours was a multi-city flight.

We booked ours through a travel agent though, so they would do the changes if needed but they still charged a fee I think...maybe $50 on top of the $280 to qantas.

Sorry, I'm really just guessing the numbers as I don't have the details with me.

No don't be sorry MrsErin. I really appreciate you discussing it with me. All good. I'm getting excited now! My donor was screened yesterday so just need to wait for results and then they will let me know to go ahead and book my trip. Fingers crossed her results are all good.
    Hope you are well!
