Thanks Sunflower, yes we ended up going with a donor who sounds like she only smokes socially so that sounded better than one that smoked a few a day. But just waiting to hear if she is free.
I have started the pill on Sunday, but we are looking at July so that's a fair way off yet. Lots of waiting in this game !

January, hope all is ok with you over there.

I was wondering why we have to be there for 10-14 days? Is it so you don't fly till after 2WW? Or are we required to go for other tests after transfer?

KLM we were told 11 days, but opted for 12. We had transfer on Sat, so technically could have left Sunday, but you need a few days buffer in case you donor needs longer to stim or if things don't go according to plan. You could always book a fully flexible return fare and change it to leave earlier if things go to schedule. Truth be known there are worse places to fill in 3 days though!
you generally only have 3 appointments at the clinic, ours was lining scan for me on 22nd, drop off sample for donors EPU on 24th, and transfer on the 29th.
    I hope that helps.

Hi everyone, just a quick update, I'll have a read later to uodate myself. We have finally found a new donor and she will be seen by the Dr soon. I'm still waiting for AF to arrive otherwise I've been told by the clinic to start on the pill by the 11th April regardless.

To the girls in Cape Town- good luck on your TWW.

    Lozby- good luck in Thailand

    Congratulations!! Amethyst.

Donna- I'm thinking about you, big hugs.

Sunflower- good luck for you in May.

Thanks Emski, that makes sense. Yes I hear its beautiful there.
My fiancé won't be able to stay the whole time with me though, only like about 5 days I think - all depends on the dates.

    Hi ladies
    Thanks for the well wishes.

Amethyst - congrats on your twin boys. Enjoy motherhood

To all the girls in SA- I hope you've all got some great embies on board and good luck with the 2ww.

Dj-best of luck for your treatment, we are all thinking of you.

AFM- We made it safely to Bangkok and gave been hitting the shops My donor has 25 maturing follies and EPU is thurs But, things are not looking good for my lining. Apparently there is fluid in my uterus (lining?) and this can mean the embies don't stick and lead to transfer being cancelled and all embies frozen. Has this ever happened to anyone else? They will check again on fri and say it could go by then but it's unlikely So I have gone from happy and relaxed to disappointed and upset, all in one day. But I'm trying to think of the positives (ie another trip to Thailand, good number of follies etc), it's just very disappointing.
    Anyways, baby dust to all.

    Congratulations Amethyst - beautiful news...!!!!!

DJ - You are obviously and amazing person with a great attitude. I haven't met you but I'm thinking of you often.

Emski, how are you going in the 2ww - I hope its flying by and the holiday is distracting you nicely. Its a bonus of travelling overseas for treatment & before you know it your test day will be here.

Thinking of you Blinky and Feather, hope it all went well.

Oh January - I'm sorry to hear its been a rocky road for you... I've been thinking of you the last few days. I hope your managing to stay sane and it works out perfectly in the end.

Lozby - Wow that's a great number. I know in Thailand they stimulate the donors more and those sorts of numbers are not uncommon - I would be stoked with that. I don't know about your lining though sorry, I've never heard of that. That's extremely disappointing, its good they have been honest with you. I would be trying to put a positive spin on it too, another holiday in Thailand, and at least its closer so not so expensive to fly, or takes so long! We would have gone there too, except it worked out more expensive flying in a Caucasian donor. Are you doing lots of lovely things, relaxing & all those super cheap wonderful massages I hear they give over there?

    Hi to everyone else.

Lozby I'm so sorry you can't go ahead with transfer... that would be a real blow. I've never heard of fluid on the lining either???
As Sooty said at least they are being honest and best to make sure is AOK before going ahead. Great number of follicles though! All the best for EPU, I'll be thinking of you.

Sooty thanks for asking after me - I'm being my normal stupid POAS crazy self... did one this morning at 3dp5dt... just wanted to see if I still had good aim .
We leave tomorrow so that will stop me for at least 24 hours and I'll resume normal programming on Friday

January - Hang in there lovely. I'm proof that a rocky road can still lead you to the end of the rainbow.
