Great news Emski. Hope everyone else is doing ok.

Very exciting rainbowchaser, i bet you cannot wait for cuddles.

Biba jani, that is really frustrating for you and really hope someone can help you out soon.

Esperanza your strong little embabies will be fine though i do hope you feel better soon. Thanks for the beer update, your right definitely time to start stressing less.
I think AF has arrived so will be starting Lucrin tomorrow, other than progynova which is AM/PM did you take these as if you were on CT timings already or doesn't this matter?

Sunflower - i Was taking the progynova at 8am and 8pm. I kept australian time until I got to CT then I switched to their time. I think as long as your not leaving a day without taking it, a few hours difference one day won't matter.

Thank you ladies for the advises on where to stay at CT. I did my fluid sonogram today, everything looks normal, so my protocol is confirmed and i will get on the plane in just 10 days. Unbelievable! Very excited, but also scared!
My FS in Sydney does not believe in NK cells, so won'r give me prescriptions on prednisolone and clexane. will see how i go.
    Good luck to everyone.

Girlfromsydney - that's great news. Time will fly and you'll be here before you know it. How are you going to source your meds? I don't understand why some FS's have to be so difficult.

AFM - we just got back from the clinic and we have 2 excellent day 5 embies on board and they will let us know tomorrow how many we have to freeze. I can officially say I'm on my first ever 2WW.

That's wonderful Esperanza, congrats on being PUPO!

Congrats to you too girlFromSydney. Frustrating that you can't get the meds though. Could you ask your GP?

    Good morning everyone,

Just wondering how long after your donors screening you got your treatment plans? I'm getting a bit panicked. We think we're flying out in about 3 weeks and we haven't been able to book anything yet :-(

Esperanza - great result and best of luck on the 2WW. I was obsessed with symptom spotting and googling everything - still am Good Luck

MrsErinR - don't worry about booking accommodation at short notice. We were there in the peak season and I only booked our initial few days and did the rest of my bookings online over there as we wanted flexibility. We stayed in wonderful places but by far the standout for us was Camps Bay Retreat. It is on the pricey side but for us absolutely worth it and we would go back in a heart beat. We stayed in Room 2 (large suite) in the old manor house overlooking the garden and ocean. It was exactly what we needed at the end of our stressful cycle. I cannot recommend it highly enough - it was special.

Emski - Fabulous news that bub is doing just fine

    Rainbow - good luck lovely

Some of you have asked about NK cells. I have never been tested and the majority of specialists I have seen over the years have not mentioned it or believed it to be an issue. One specialist did put me on Pred for 2 donor cycles which did not work. This cycle I really wanted to keep everything really minimal as far as meds. So it is just Progynova and Gestone (changing to pessaries shortly), Folic and low dose aspirin due to a protein I have in my blood that makes it slightly sticky. For months before my cycle I ensured my diet was as clean as possible eliminating all processed foods. I love to exercise too but now just walk 5KM per day (no running). Hubby's sperm was never top rate so I banned him from running and cycling for 4 months. This effort on his behalf has made a huge impact on his sperm quality. And we didn't stop drinking in moderation. Of course nothing now for me. That was my approach and it worked. So all I can say really is do what feels right for you

Good Luck to everyone about to cycle, I will update the roll call in the next few days

AFM - Scan booked, OB booked. It is quite surreal going back to my previous clinic and everyone is all smiles and full of positivity. A very different experience to years gone by

Love and babydust to you all

    Hi Everyone,

so pleased to find this site

i am finally off to cape Town in SA in 10 days for my first ED cycle (arrive may 11th). Anyone else there at that time?

i had 7 ivfs in total all BFN, so it took a little while but i decided to go the ED route. I am so excited.

    good luck to everyone else.

    cheers, Cloggy
