Esperanza : we went to Inverdoorn and loved it! It's not a safari like you would find at Kruger but neither is Aquila or Fairy Glen. We got a package that meant we also got a personal interaction with a Cheetah that cannot be sent back into the wild because of injury . It was without a doubt a highlight of our trip.

It does look amazing Blinky. Thanks so much for putting the pictures up. Inverdoorn was the one we were originally looking at and fairy glen because it's only an hour away. We would have loved to have done a stay in Kruger but time and money just couldn't permit. If we have to go back again I think I'll definitely make time for Kruger.

Those were just a couple of pics from the two safaris we did (we stayed overnight), I think I got hundreds . Inverdoorn is a bit of a drive (@2 1/2 hours) but the scenery along the way was stunning. We did self drive as we had a car but I believe they will do pick up / drop off from Cape Town if you do a day trip.

Great question Esperanza. We've been looking at safari options all afternoon today. I think my head is going to explode as there are so many! We fortunately do have a bit of time before we get to Cape Town where we might do one.

    Great photos Blinky.

Also Blinky, thanks for your message. I'm not with Dr LeRoux. It's dr Wiswedel we're working with. I haven't gotten around to emailing today but I will soon. I realized that it's actually a week I've been waiting for one answer now so I need to ask again. They must be so busy. I think I've slipped through the cracks.

Actually, a question for you all. How long after your donors first appointment did you get your treatment plan and know your dates?

Hi Erin, just to answer your question, we got our treatment plan 2 days after our donor's first appointment.

Thanks Thembs! Did that include dates for travelling over or just a plan for your meds?

Hi Erin, in my case I was asked to confirm the dates on the day my donor had her first appointment. I just had a look at my emails from last year, looks like it took 4 weeks to get the treatment plan. I'm not sure why but it took longer then. So, I think it depends how soon they get the results back and how much time you've got before you travel.
